Key Dates
The Euro-Toques Rising Pastry Chef of the Year Competition 2025 opens for entries on Monday, 7th July 2025.
The deadline for applications is Sunday, 27th July 2025 at 12 noon.
Successful candidates will be notified as to whether they have made it through to the next stage of the competition after Sunday, 27th July 2025.
The written stage of the competition will open on Monday, 28th July 2025.
Candidates will have to submit their written entries in the form of a recipe by Thursday 14th August 2025.
Results of the written stage will be announced on Tuesday 19th August 2025 with a list of candidates who are going through to the interviews.
Interviews will be held on Monday 25th August 2025 or Tuesday 26th August on zoom
The Euro-Toques Rising Pastry Chef of the Year Competition finals are scheduled for Monday 29th September 2025 at Crumlin College, Dublin
The Rising Star of the year will be formally announced during the Young Chef 2025 Gala Dinner held on 12th October at the Intercontinental Hotel, Dublin.

- Fill in the online entry form below. Make sure you fill all required fields.

For the Euro-Toques Rising Pastry Chef of the Year Competition 2025, presented by La Rousse Foods, we invite pastry chefs to revisit timeless desserts through a fresh Irish lens.
Why classics? Because they are the foundation, recipes passed down, techniques honed, and forms that have stood the test of time. But true creativity lies in evolution. This year’s theme challenges chefs to reimagine the familiar by rooting it in Ireland’s own seasonal bounty.
Inspired by Euro-Toques founder Myrtle Allen – who believed that food should always reflect its time, place, and people – this competition celebrates locality and seasonality. Whether it’s the butter, the grain, the fruit, or the salt, we want to see Irish ingredients take centre stage in reinterpreted classics that are both respectful and bold.
This theme offers chefs the chance to push their craft forward while staying true to place. It’s about honouring tradition not by replicating it, but by using it as a springboard for innovation through Irish ingredients.
