As the state operator of Ireland’s electricity transmission system, EirGrid engages with the farming community on a regular basis. Indeed, it could not carry out its function without the co-operation of the farming community across whose lands much of the electricity transmission system is located.
EirGrid have been proudly supporting the Euro-Toques Food Awards for the past 8 years.
Key to the partnership is the idea that small business owners are the lifeblood of the local economy and small producers in particular are the lifeblood of the rural community. They truly are amazing people in what they contribute to food, the economy, the environment and life in Ireland. Eirgrid are delighted to be able to recognise their enormous achievements, as individuals and as a sector.”
