The first edition of the Euro-Toques Rising Pastry Chef of the Year 2025 has its six finalists!
Following interviews held at @anantarathemarkerdublin on Tuesday 26th August, six talented pastry chefs will now move forward to the live cook-off Final this September.
The finalists are:

* Samuel Lynch ~ Coppinger Row
* MollyRose Maher ~ Ballynahinch Castle
* Aengus Moloney ~ Aniar
* Hilary Quinn ~ Ballymaloe House
This landmark new competition, created in partnership with La Rousse Foods and supported by some of Ireland’s most respected chefs and mentors, celebrates the skill, creativity, and innovation of young pastry chefs across the country.
With the theme “Classics Reimagined Using Irish Ingredients”, finalists will be challenged to reinterpret timeless desserts through Ireland’s seasonal larder, honouring tradition while giving it fresh life.
More than a one-day event, the Rising Pastry Chef competition is a guided journey of mentorship, community, and growth. Inspired by the legacy of Myrtle Allen, it is about nurturing the next generation of pastry visionaries while celebrating provenance, seasonality, and integrity.
The Grand Final takes place on 29 September 2025 at Crumlin College, Dublin, with the winner to be announced at the Euro-Toques Gala Dinner on 12 October 2025.
