DESCRIPTION:It’s a Wild Game is a series of producer activities and dining events around the island of Ireland\, where chefs celebrate Ireland’s winter bounty. The events are hosted by Euro-Toques Ireland\, a member-based community of chefs\, cooks and producers who pride themselves on being the custodians of Irish food heritage. Part of the Taste the Island celebrations\, the events focus on provenance\, seasonality and the journey of the produce from farm\, woodlands\, shores to plate. \nThroughout the month of November\, Euro-Toques Ireland is hosting three special It’s a Wild Game culinary experiences in three different member locations. \nSunday 17 November – Belleek Castle in Mayo. View event details here.  \nThe key element of these special winter events will be wild game\, fruits and produce from the woodlands and the seashore. These once-off events are open to Euro-Toques members as well as the general public and will offer an immersive dining experience with activities that range from meeting producers\, farmers\, growers and makers\, to woodland walks\, foraging and hunting. \n\n\n\n\nAlongside the three events\, Euro-Toques Ireland is hosting a NATIONAL It’s a Wild Game celebration on Thursday 21 November 2019 where many of their chef members working in cafés\, pubs\, bistros and restaurants will offer either a special or a full menu experience showcasing Ireland’s wild game and the winter bounty. SUMMARY:Urban Biodiversity Ramble and Winter Bounty Dinner at L.Mulligan Grocer\, Dublin
DESCRIPTION:This It’s a Wild Game event will take place in collaboration with Seáneen Sullivan of L. Mulligan Grocer in Stoneybatter\, Dublin on Sunday 24 November 2019 to highlight urban wild life and its winter bounty. Book tickets below. \nBeginning at 2.30pm at L.Mulligan Grocer\, Seáneen and her team will welcome you with a warming drink before we set off on a Stoneybatter walk to learn about Urban wild life and its winter bounty. \nAfter a short walk\, we will head to see one of Stoneybatter’s community gardens with Michele Hallahan\, sustainability officer for Trinity College Dublin. Nestled within the Artisan Dwelling Company cottages\, it is a thriving example of biodiversity in urban spaces. Next\, we will visit the Old Jameson Distillery to see Dublin’s only maturation warehouse and learn about urban whiskey production. \nFinally\, Kaethe Burt-O’Dea of BÍ URBAN\, a studio for social creativity based in Stoneybatter\, will invite you to taste a selection of raw Irish honeys that argue case for partnering with nature in the regeneration of the urban environment. Bí Urban’s study of honeybee democracy in their Broadstone Park Apiary is the first phase of their core project ‘The Lifeline’\, a nature corridor that will connect the Botanic Gardens with the Liffey\, creating a ribbon of biodiversity and fertile ground for social innovation\, green enterprise and nature-based solutions. \nReturning to L. Mulligan. Grocer\, a long table feast will await celebrating the journey of produce from farm\, woodlands\, shores to plate. Renowned for their food and drink pairings\, L. Mulligan Grocer will pair a different Irish made drink with each course. This is a unique opportunity to discover and taste what our urban and wider landscapes has to offer.
